Chairman’s statement – December 1, 2011
Compared to the 7-14Mbps of FOMA, the downlink speed of the Xi is 37.5Mbps (up to 75Mbps). In the near future, it will increase to 100Mbps, a speed comparable to the fiber optic network. Many are looking forward to use Xi in their daily business.
As we are still under recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11th this year, many companies have become interested in adopting the private cloud system in order to secure their information systems from cyber attacks and natural disasters. Due to the earthquake and the recent flood in Thai, many offices and factories were damaged, companies consider using more elastic information systems. In order to provide higher protection to cyber attacks, major enterprise computing companies are trying to concentrate currently distributed computer servers as much as possible. (quote from the Nikkei Nov.24)
In this time of year, spread of pandemic disease such as flu or SARS draws our attention to teleworking (work from home). If a new type of these breaks out, you and your family’s life and health will become your main concern. Building a teleworking environment that applies no stress to the daily operations of the company will become the first priority for the company as well as the employee and their family.
By the way, are highly concentrated servers and higher security systems enough for elastic business operations? The answer is no. A lot of examples show that installing security software is not enough for protecting a client PC from computer virus. FKEY is a closed and protected system and the users do not have to worry about computer virus on the client side. FKEY also supports VPN for high security. Combined with the Xi service from NTT Docomo supporting the new mobile data communication LTE standard, the users can enjoy comfortable stress free high speed network connection from their desktop computers. In short, high security servers, virus free clients and total ease of use will guarantee your successful business.
Telephone operators and cellular phone manufacturers are shifting toward the smart phones and tablet PCs. The boundaries among featured cellular phones, smart phones, tablet PCs and TVs are vanishing. The FKEY combination of NTT Docomo’s Xi service, and smart phones will push the business cloud forward together with various terminals. Applied Electronics Corporation will always continue to release more attractive products to support your business.
