As a software development company in the information and communication industry, one of our major focuses is to be a help of people to start-up new lifestyle and work style.
AEC was established on 1984 as a spin-off by engineers of a major home appliance company. At the time wireless communication and ceramics products was the company’s business field. In April, 2006, the business became slowed down as it became harder to catch up the quickly changing business environment, AEC left the past business field with all the board members resignation and the major capital reduction.
At the same time, I accepted to take the job as CEO of the company, which I had been appointed to the advisor since the fall 2005, and started to build a new business from scratch. At the company’s rebirth period, people of various NTT companies helped us out in extended ways on many sides of the business rebuilding including people, engineers, business planning, and the birth of the “FKEY” logo.
Since my appointment to the CEO, we went through the planning of capital strategy, the funding, and the development and release of USB thin-client products. On the fall 2007, starting from a request from NTT-DOCOMO, we seized an opportunity to develop the mobile thin-client OS for mobile-phone.
The technology trend is now at the cloud computing, mobile-broadband and LTE and further moving toward the next generation communication and network. In the last five years, we have been running as the group of selected members, under the principle of “Become the pioneer of the next generation by the development of the communication software with the cutting edge technologies”. Our product is a Linux OS for business developed by our proud Linux engineers. We have built a corporate network with partner companies. The mass production line and distribution network for the microSD type and the USB type devices are ready to operate. As for the beginning, we will work hard to be prepared for 10 million products for business use in Japan. In addition, with the release of “FKEY for DOCOMO FOMA”, it becomes possible to produce the new work style by our product. Thank you very much for all who have worked on this product.
From now on, our development team will take a next step forward to the development of new products for the next generation network era. Please look forward to the future development.
