Announcement on capital increase by third-party allotment

Applied Electronics Corporation (Head office; Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO; Masahiro Yano, hereafter “AEC”) announces that BroadBand Tower, Inc. (Head office; Minato-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO; Toshihiko Yamato, hereafter “BBT”) has agreed to underwrite capital increase by third-party allotment of the new shares issued by AEC in the Board of Directors’ meeting of BBT on June 24, 2009.
